Body1 is looking for a temp Content – Social Media Associate to work with our team from 12/28/2009 through 2/1/2010. This is a part-time consulting position, about 30 hours/week. Body1 is looking for somebody with a background in on-line journalism, senior editorial experience, and a passion for health care to join their growing team.

A. Responsibilities

1. Content Creation
- day to day content updates and metatags
- editing and posting with accuracy & high quality
- fact-checking as needed
- sourcing of free content
- developing and maintaining content plan
- source regular relevant press releases
- liaison with Body1 medical personnel, coordinating reviews
- scheduling and conducting Hero interviews
- related audio/ video capture (Hero & Patient/Consumer Interviews)
- selecting photos for stories
- updating event lists, product reviews, & other time-sensitive areas

2. Social Media
- blog & forum updates
- two way integration of content with social media- Twitter & Facebook
- liaison & support of outside bloggers

3. Support
- monitoring and responding to content ideas and help requests
- providing rapid guidance to technical team on needed fixes/ enhancements and new features to improve traffic, navigation, and functionality
- internal auditing to ensure cross-site consistency in content and functionality

4. Content Management
- management / leadership of content team
- plan weekly content meeting
- assist in recruiting new writers, medical advisors and site leaders
