If the answer is yes to all of the above, we’ve got the position for you! Kaboodle is looking for a Community Manager to help maintain and expand its online community of passionate shoppers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the community team
  • Engage with users in a personal one-on-one level
  • Actively participate in the community
  • Recruit top users to participate in Kaboodle programs
  • Organize and manage community-related Kaboodle programs
  • Manage and/or program the community channel
  • Lead content moderation, which includes responding to feedback, managing spam, and deleting inappropriate content
  • Solicit and interpret user feedback into actionable recommendations for how to improve Kaboodle website, applications, and widgets
  • Identify and report technical bugs on behalf of the community
  • Strengthen relationships that users have with Kaboodle and building affinity through contests, promotions, and loyalty program
  • Manage, expand, and enhance all ancillary social media efforts
  • Help set up real-world community events and promotions
  • Serve as a point of contact for inbound requests
  • Identify and analyze issues, patterns and trends in customer requests & product performance
  • Proactively escalate issues, observations, opportunities, and insights to the executive team
  • Participate in professional networking by following the prominent bloggers and online writers & attending events
  • Show measurable results in community engagement and growth

Requirements:

  • 2+ years Community Management experience (Customer Support does NOT count. You need to have actually managed an online Community in the past.)
  • Experience managing at least one other person
  • Familiar with forums and Community crisis management
  • Demonstrated ability to learn fast and complete multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent self-starting and self-managing skills
  • Creativity in devising strategies for broadening and engaging the community
  • Deep understanding of social network structures (please submit profile URLs)
  • Highly collaborative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (feel free to submit links to your work)
  • The ability to identify and interpret the community’s needs and desires into product fixes or enhancements; steadfastly champion them and keep them on the company’s radar
  • Proficient in Sales Force
  • Up to date on new social media tools, best practices and how other organizations and companies are using them, so that the company can continue to be an early adopter of or leader in the latest technologies
