Betfair USA is looking for a community & social media champion to lead our efforts developing and fostering Betfair’s user communities around horse-racing, poker & sports. This position will report to the VP Social Media.

The Community role is responsible for the following:

  • Conceptualizing, designing and managing features that enable discussions around our key entertainment categories of horse-racing, poker & sports
  • Serve as the external voice of Betfair across all social media outlets and the internal voice of Betfair to our user community
  • Conceptualize, design, create and manage content and social media campaigns
  • Act as a Betfair user community advocate, soliciting product feedback from our active community of users and addressing questions/concerns
  • Compile user feedback that gets relayed to the product & marketing teams to help inform future roadmap initiatives
  • Develop key performance metrics (KPIs) for internal community engagement and external social media campaigns and report on them regularly
  • Engage in industry networking and develop relationships with horse-racing, poker & sports bloggers

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years past experience building online communities
  • 3-5 years in consumer internet marketing
  • Passion for social media and social networking
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and have the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing start-up environment
  • Internet and technology advocate who stays up to date with latest trends in technology, social networking, and social media
  • Entrepreneurial desire, passion and excitement
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • BS/BA required from top school; MBA a plus
