Job Description:
An entry level programming position that facilitates the distribution, promotion and online community awareness of the African-American female lifestyle content of HelloBeautiful.com (and other Interactive One sites).

Responsibilities:
1. Increase monthly traffic to HelloBeautiful.com (HB) the through effective selection and submission of HB’s content to social media outlets (Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, YouTube), related content sites and blogs, news aggregators (digg, del.i.cious.com, global grind), heat indexes (Google Zeitgeist, Yahoo Buzz!) and more.

2. Identify relevant and topical stories and subject matter “buzzing” on the web to the HB editorial team to create new content.

3. Write/produce featured blog on HelloBeautiful.com, updated daily.

Job Requirements:
Key Qualifications:

1. Expertise with all forms of social media and online communities. Knowledge must go beyond simple user experience with Facebook, Twitter, etc but go into programming and marketing insight into all the socially fueled content experiences on the web

2. Love for the medium with a focus on social marketing outreach, audience insight and development, and an understanding of what makes something “viral.”

3. Comfort and experience with negotiating content/distribution deals with other web sites, “cold-calling” web editors, and engaging with unfamiliar online communities

4. In-depth experience with, knowledge of, and/or affinity for, the various African-American online audiences

5. In-depth experience with, knowledge of, and/or affinity for, the various female online audiences

6. Motivated by high-energy, high-stress, highly tracked work environment
The ideal candidate must be motivated by a fast-paced, high-energy 24/7 work environment that is driven by aggressive personal and team traffic goals that are measured daily

Required Experience:
1-2 years online programming experience
3-4 years online social networking experience
