We are looking for an Online Community Specialist!

Be part of a creating and driving the communities around Nexon’s great lineup of games! Nexon needs a Community Specialist who can plan and execute social networking and media initiatives to increase positive player engagement within the Nexon gaming community. The perfect candidate is someone who is professional, goal-oriented, and a born leader. We’re having a ton of fun, and we need someone who can help our community do the same!

We are Nexon America Inc., the North American publishing arm of Nexon Group (1994), a pioneer of interactive entertainment software and the world’s leader in massive multiplayer online games which it developed and introduced in 1996.

Nexon America opened for business in Los Angeles in 2005 to bring the best of online entertainment to North American audiences. The company’s growing library of titles includes the world-famous franchise MapleStory, the role playing fantasy life of Mabinogi, the online multiplayer first-person shooter Combat Arms, and the soon to be released Dungeon Fighter Online.

Responsibilities:
• Through excellent knowledge and experience with gaming communities, identify and target online destinations where Nexon can focus its outward-facing community interaction.
• Utilize excellent knowledge of the current social and gaming trends to deliver the best community experience to Nexon players.
• Raise interest in Nexon’s current and upcoming games by communicating with other gamers on popular online gaming websites.
• Communicate with the community through various media, including official website and forums, and external social networking websites.
• Focus on setting and achieving measurable goals that relate to community development. For example, “We will raise Twitter follows by 15% every month, to achieve total followership of 45,000 by end of this year.”
• Perform duties as assigned by the Community Manager.
